Description This is my entry submission and my OC contender for 's "One Dollar Fighter" OC tournament. For anyone whos interested in drawing fight scenes for an OC, you really should check this out [link]
Its only a dollar to enter, and if his past tournaments are any indication, it should be a blast.

Also because I have a habit of composing character back-storys when I draw, I'll outline this guy's briefly:

Ol' Mojo Arrow was a poor young Norman noble about a thousand years ago. Persuaded by clergymen promising an indulgence for sins, past and future, for service under the cross, our warrior set out on the first crusade to Jerusalem. Well as luck would have it, he was killed in action near Jerusalem, and upon entering the afterlife, he learned that the promised remission was a sham. Not only was he still stained with old sins but had accumulated a multitude more in the savage war to retake the holy land. An embittered spirit, he wandered the cosmos for centuries before he was offered a chance for indiscriminant revenge. He was gifted the Hellfire Bow from sources unknown and with it, became an agent of the hells. Scourge of liars, hypocrites, thieves, and especially the falsely pious (which he believes to be just about everyone) he now claims souls for the underworld in the name of his black patron.
You're welcome to wish him luck in this latest endeavor, but he'd likely only smirk and walk away...

I've a question...When shot by said hellfire flaming bow and arrow combo dealie, does the arrow act like a real wooden one and lodge in the target, or does it act like fire and just singe and disperse?

Hmmm... good question. Description of the Hellfire Bow then? Sure:
The bow itself is said to be constructed from polished demon bones and actually produces no fire until the wielder wills it so.
Once drawn, the arrows combine the properties of the physical and supernatural. They lodge into a target and burn. The 'string' and arrows are pure hellfire and cannot be extinguished through mundane means, but on inanimate objects the fires that they ignite are normal. The arrows themselves burn out over the course of about ten minutes after being shot. The real danger comes when they pass into a living creature; there, the soul or life force becomes the fuel that feeds the growing hellfire until all is consumed. Mojo assures me that the soul is not utterly destroyed, but rather weakened and tainted to a state that allows it to be captured and held by his dark patron as it enters the afterlife. An insidious weapon to be sure, and not without its drawbacks; but those are secret... Hope that helps.

I have to be more active on DA, because every time I see a recent piece of yours I am astounded. I apologize for the lack of activity on my part, but I'll make it my duty to not fall behind again. Your skill in digital art has immensely grown since I've last seen your art and it puts a smile on my face. I only wish I could have been there every step of the way. Hey Lady! Puts a smile on my face just to hear from you again. Reminds me of old times. Anyway, my thanks for the comment, although I'm a little chagrinned that you noticed this one. It was a rush job, and honestly if I could redo it from scratch, I would. But alas, its a charcter sheet that has already been entered in an OC fighting tournament and so I'm stuck with it. Oh well.
But thank you nonetheless and I do hope that you are able to hang out and talk art all the more often.

From being absent so long, I have over 700 deviations to look through and this one was the first I saw made by you. Thanks man! Yeah, I'd have to agree. Theres a thread of humanity left. I designed him as kind of a jaded supernatural anti-hero. But hey, if Darth Vader can redeem himself, then there has to be some hope, eh?
