Description

I totally didn't forgot this account existed, yep.

I believe I made this piece right after the Mai and Satono one. It was to practice drawing background because I was only good at drawing characters (at least without dynamic posing). Anyhow, I'm really proud of this one even to this day .

A big part of Touhou is that slice of life element, isn't it? It's nice to see characters interacting with each other and chilling together. That was where the inspiration for this art come from.

As always, I'm listing things I like and don't like to remind myself on what to improve, even though I've become less nit-picky about my art now .

Things I like:
- Composition: The objects in the picture fills the space quite nicely.
- The moss: It's my first time drawing moss and they turn out great.
- The textures: By which I mean the one on the wood support, the one in the hollow parts of the tree and the one on the wall. Adding textures makes things more interesting to look at (as long as you don't go overboard with it).

Things I don't like:
- The perspective: I tried to make the tree close to the wall and still look big if you look at this angle. But now the distance between the tree, the wall, and the porch (?) is weird. I think it's because the wall, the tree and the grass are more "elevated" than the porch. The ground should be "flatter" if you get what I mean.
- The grass and flowers: I straight up half-assed them, can't lie about that .
- The shading: Light blue on grass. What? From now on, I'll use additional shading colors when a situation calls for it. But not too much, I don't want to overcomplicate the shading progress.
