If I could offer honest critique-
I liked it, but I felt like it was too much "Scott Pilgrim if it were a traditional RPG". It's a nice thought, but it just seems... I don't know the word. I guess Best Quest doesn't really feel like its own thing as much as it feels like a new spin on someone else's thing. Which is fine, that's what most stories are nowadays, but it just seems transparently so. That can change with more episodes, it'll probably form more of its own identity, but right now it's kind of... eh. Good, rest assured, just not groundbreaking.
The humor... I didn't really feel like the jokes were anything that I couldn't have heard in another story, but maybe that's nitpicking. And again it was good humor, I just didn't feel like it was unique. Though I did like how the ninja always had (presumably) Japanese subtitles while speaking English. Reminded me of that joke in the movie Airplane where the black guy would have subtitles even though he spoke clearly.
And the lack of noses kind of bugs me since their face holes are perfectly square, but that's purely nitpicking at an artistic choice, nothing to worry about.

We might've relied a bit too heavily on references and wink-wink/nudge-nudge humor in the pilot, but we're trying to cut back on that in subsequent eps and hoping to grow, change, and become our own thing in the process.
We're glad we've been getting a lot of feedback to see whats working and whats not, constructive inputs like this help us grow and we're extremely thankful that you and other viewers see potential in it.
