And he didn't even need the Super Crown to pull it off! So, this will take some explaining. Back in 1996 and 97, the official Nintendo magazine of Germany, Club Nintendo, put out a rather interesting pair of comics. In a story arc called "Night of Horror", Wario makes a pact with the nefarious forces of hell so he can overrun the apartment complex where all the Nintendo characters live with demons... I'm not making this up. This is like something I would write if I was tripping on acid. XD After some shenanigans (including Peach turning into a surprisingly scary zombie) Mario and friends get their hands on the "Necronomicon" from the Evil Dead movies.

However, Mario screws up the spell and turns him, Link, and Kirby into ladies! I'm not making this up, THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED. The hilarious part is that female Link looks identical to Zelda, giving more meaning to the "Link is Zelda" joke in the process. Of course, Mario still keeps his moustache even as a woman. Because not even TG can rid him of his/her trademark stache. XD Probably the most hilarious out of all of these is female Kirby, who is just Kirby with a blonde wig and high-heeled shoes. Keep in mind that this was before Smash Bros, so this was technically the first time Kirby grew hair of any kind. This is also the only time he got hair without sucking someone up first.

This comic seems pretty damn awesome, and I discovered through a Swankybox video called "Mario's Most Terrifying Tale". Alternatively, you can check the comic out here: www.flickr.com/photos/miloscat… Really good comic, though I feel bad for the kids growing up reading it. You see, the first comic ended on a twist of Peach being a zombie with creepy cracked eyes. This wouldn't be so bad, but the second part wasn't churned out UNTIL A YEAR LATER. So kids see this horrifying shot of Peach as a zombie about to kill Mario, only for them to not follow up on it for a year. Meanwhile, little Timmy is over here in the corner and crying that Club Nintendo just killed off Peach.

And yes, that is Michael Myers and Chuckie, because... Uh... Don't question it, it's an obscure German Nintendo comic! Logic don't apply here.
