Description
Something doodled up after looking through the Codex: Chaos Space Marine book from the Warhammer 40,000 series.I'm a big fan of miniatures. Its about the only thing I can do in color well, in my humble opinion, and the Warhammer games has become likened to an obsession with me. This could be a Greater Daemon of Khorne, a Daemon Prince, or an aspiring champion; I've left it open to that interpretation.

Why have two eyes when you can have six? AwesomeΒ artwork! Evocative and with care given to details and shading. I particularly like the Chaotic details, with script on loincloth, weird runes on handle, faces in the fire and hexaoptical sight. Given your deft hand at illustrating Chaos, you might be interested in knowing that Warhammer Fantasy have a community driven spiritual successor project under steam. Namely, The Ninth Age: www.the-ninth-age.com/
It is fully possible for previous Warhammer fanart to be submitted to T9A, and if their iconography doesn't constitute IP infringement they may well make it into full army books, full credits given. Obviously, such an ambitious project is always welcoming artists, for artwork is what makes or breaks a professional polished product. This is a chance to have one's fanart under an official stamp, and moreover to develop one's own styles for familiar archetypes.
Note that one has to post two comments on the forum before being allowed to upload images to the gallery (just post compliments in the army blog section or suchlike first Β if you would ever like to contribute).
Also, they've recently launched their first Art Contest, this time pitting Warriors of the Dark Gods against others: www.the-ninth-age.com/index.ph⦠Many more contests to follow in months and years to come if this catch on. Something for your talents and tastes, perhaps?
Just mentioning. In any case, great artwork! Have a good day.

"Had" to? Who told you that?
You only need to have your army fully painted if you plan to enter a tournament. One-off games and games between friends doesn't require that...unless said friends are total anal retentive dicks.

they were not friends, by any stretch of the imagination, they were the employees at a games workshop location, they won't let you play there unless you're in a tournament, and they seemed to dislike the idea of an 1800 point army with two warp-lightning cannons and 60 clanrats, i was gonna get another 200pts until they were going to be jerks about it.

Sounds like a buncha asshats. Also seems like a violation of store policy, though don't quote me on it.

i think it actually was store policy. they just don't let you play there as a gathering place for people who (try to) appreciate their products.

Hehehehe! >D
Hm, looking at it now, it COULD be a daemon prince...staff could be an ether lance. Though thats a waste of 35 points...

Tis rather. I always was enamoured with that Dark Sword, I think it's called. Or something with a super-high strength

Dark Blade. Good weapon, but I much prefer the Kai Gun--24", S6, AP3, Assault 2? Oh hell YES.
Dreadaxe is nice, particularly if you wanna be a mean sonnuvabitch and put it on a Lord with Daemonic Stature. Saves? What saves? Muhahahaha--*Chop chop*

I'm thinking Daemon prince. Those things scare me. The shading on it's skin is very good, I like it.

Daemon Princes are scary, but pretty much a giant walking Lascannon target for those with Daemonic Stature.
