Description Once, there were two children. They were brother and sister, twins in fact, who were always together, day and night. The truth was that they couldn't be any different from one another; the boy was spirited and aggressive, while the girl was crafty and sneaky.

One night, while playing a game, they came upon the sun sleeping. The siblings argued about what to do with it; the brother wanted to toss it around and play catch, whilst the sister wished to take it for herself as a trinket, never once thinking of letting the sun stay where it was. This arguement soon turned into a fight, which awoke the sun from his nightly slumber.

Angered that he had been awakened so, he struck the young boy and girl with a terrible curse; for their greedy acts and their constant arguement, they would be given the form of animals, only able to become human once more when they could finally agree on something and put down their fight.

This did not go well with them, who kicked and screamed at the sun until it rose too high for them to reach. Heeding not the words spoken to them, they in turn went back to one another, fighting a battle of supremacy on who would be right. Finally, after a year of struggle, they split apart, too tired to continue the fight at that pace. Going their seperate ways, they became known as the first wolf and the first fox, similar beings but wholly different, and always against one another.

Something I had kicking around in the back of my head for a little while now. Originally I was going to do this with paints, but I found that a black marker worked just as well.

AS A NOTE: I encourage comments, NOT random favourites. If you're gonna leave a favourite, make sure to give a word first. Its one of my pet peeves that I see all too often here.

its really good, though i do like the prose more then the image, but thats mainly because i pretend to be a poet, but still i think the words are the stronger point, and the image is more complementary

Which was the point of it. Mythologies have always greatly interested me, and I find myself enjoying the backstory and past of an established medium more than the actual product. Color me weird.

WHy should that be weird? Fiction is absolutely brilliant, especially the wilder and more strange aspects

See, thats the thing--I'll enjoy more of how a story got UP to a point, rather than where it is now or where its going in the future.
