Let's start with the basics, the way you've separated the land from the sky it's impressive, the way the clouds shades the ground as they come makes it an incredible piece.
I love your brush work, it's special and unique. The way you blend the colors, even the more dull ones to show depth and control, it creates a vibe so magnificent and spectacular.
Vibrant colors and shades, the way the sigh takes all and the colors blends togheter it's incredible. A Simple yet imposible smooth MonoFlax work as per usual.
The originality isn't primordial, but there's nothing wrong with this piece.

A word before I go on to the critique: I am not an artist, and although I have an interest in it I have no formal education in it. That being said I hope I the thoughts I share turn out to be at the very least innocuous and hopefully useful. Now on to the critique.
First of all, you did a great job capturing both the foreboding of the original scene and the power of nature in the form of the towering storm. You managed to replicate the impression that the massive clouds are rolling in and enveloping both valley and mountains remarkably well, and incorporated your own style.
Technically, the composition feels a lot more impressionist than the original, with more emphasis on color and solid contrasting "blocks" than the detail and minutia that we see in the reference work. Not so much in the fields, but in the clouds it looks like you went for a Van Goghian (is that a word?) approach, using color to form shapes and motion, and did so with success, I think.
One unfortunate side effect of these approaches, however, is that the detail in the plain of the valley is a bit lost, and with it goes some of the scale of the work as a whole. I say this because, while the mountain-valley-storm combination is imposing in its scale already, the villages and small patches of woods present in the original serve to escalate that, since they provide us with a clear and familiar comparison.
That being said, the overall quality is - in my opinion - undeniable. And I also hope this critique wasn't a complete blunder.
Cheers!

die Art, wie du das Konzept des Originals ΓΌbernommen hast, es aber noch deinen eigenen Touch gegeben hast, hat einen ziemlich eindrucksvollen Effekt.

Holy crap dude, this took an hour?! I have to say, I'm quite impressed! You did a great job in capturing the feel of the original painting by Bierstadt, all while adding your own little spin on it. The detail, brush strokes, and color choices are all wonderful.
Nicely done!

When compared to the original, this is really impressive. You capture the chaotic nature of the storm clouds, even with your style being a bit messier than the original. Instead of taking away from the piece, it adds your own personal touch to it, and I admire that. Keep up the good work.

Absolutely amazing! I love art that's highly detailed but at the same time has a very blurry and sketchy feel to it - where you can see the brushstrokes if you care to look.

Ohh I love those aswell! The looseness of the strokes preserves the liveliness while the texture still adds texture and. Helps making it not feel dull. Thanks fir the comment!

Ooooh, this looks spectacular. You really captured it, all I can think of is maybe work on the contrast just a tiny bit... but either than that the colors are gorgeous. I can't stop staring at this.

Ohhh interesting critique. This is a value study so i didn't use the eyedropper tool. I suppose with darker values its harder to identify them, which is why I made them too light?

That just about explains it. And for a value study it is still really amazing. And great work on not using the eyedropper tool. The colors are wonderful as always.

Dang, son! If this was done on a computer, then I'm throwing my oil paintbrushes and canvas away. LOL. If you actually used oil paint and canvas...well, colour me tickled! I used to paint when I was in high school and this reminds me of how much joy there is in painting, seeing as how the pressure of the brush caused those little ridges that are typical of an oil painting, giving it character.

Hahahah
It actually is digital art.
I use some really convincing brushes xD
Regardless, i am glad it could remind you of the joy of painting :> my approach was actually rather traditional, i painted on one layer only, without eyedropper tool or fancy layer/brush modes. Was fun!

I love the colours and atmosphere in this!
I love the foliage in the foreground
the only thing that I think could be improved is the darker edge of the clouds.
you used quite straight brushstrokes (especially in roughly the middle, a little to the right) which makes it harder to tell it's supposed to be clouds.
the sharp edges make it look a bit more like rocks.
the edge looks a bit straighter on the reference too, but there are a few curvier lines that help break it up a little
the light side has some really neat curves in the brushstrokes tho, conveying a nice "cloud texture"
sorry for wall of text ^^"
