Been missing for some time because I spent a week in London. Should help to make my writing and art and such a bit more detailed and authentic, although reading Iain Sinclair may well be even more useful, if only it weren't such a chore. Got a few good photos, almost cried because I thought I wouldn't see Manet after all (the Courtauld Gallery is being renovated and fortunately they put their Impressionist and Manet paintings into a not too overrun little three-room-exhibition covering early, mid and late stages of the movement at the National), and spent an hour sitting around in Hyde Park that some guy charged me 1.8 quid for. Yay. Literally, two pounds for an hour of sitting on a beach chair. I walked 9 hours a day and had barely enough energy to turn on the telly in the evening. Best bits were occasional QI snippets that I already knew. I moaned about Ibis nest rooms lacking any sort of clothing storage options. They won't even drill a rod to the bloody wall, it's just blank save for the scratches of other people's luggage and shoes. I saw the V&A Arts and Crafts rooms. I saw Hubert Gerhart's Resurrection relief. I saw carpets and patterns upon patterns, Raphaels, and some kitschy stuff too, unfortunately. Lol. Oh, and fuck the tube. Oh my god, that was such a convenient nightmare to use. NEVER ride the Piccadilly line to Covent Garden. Those people were like animals. I know what to write about now (kappa, I have better things to do), but really, RUNNING for the connecting train through half a mile of tight corridors that contain barely any oxygen in the first place? Calm your self-important butt. (I have the empathy and composure of a firecracker...)

In total, after all that, I'll now have to pick up my term paper again and keep writing and developing chapter two. And I've got paintings in the making from before the trip. It's all a bit much right now. But fortunately I won't have to leave my apartment for some few days. Next semester will be pretty relaxed. I shall get things done

edit. I may...I probably did make the neck too short. Arrgh I got carried away by the sketch again. The composition was so nice. I swear my proportions are usually solid xD
