This image caught my eye immediately. It's idea seems simplistic but the mist or fog painted in the foreground and background makes me wonder about the boat's safety. Is this a safe place to be or not. For this reason the idea is not so simple after all and I love it when a painting can make you think twice!
The technique is something i'm not used too but i'm loving the outcome!
The fact that it is inspired by music is also very fitting as I can just imagine some melody or symphony playing in the background.
It's a beautiful work of art. I felt broody at first when looking at it but there are feelings of mellow and calm in there too.
