alright my process
get a huge canvas 300px/in
First I make lots of doodles, generally between 10 and 15 until I find one I like. I then turn the layer opacity down to about 15%
Then I ink and color the flats. my flat colors are on one layer. I lock the opacity on this layer.
Then I doodled a background and finished the rest of him.
All my details go on the flat color layer. I alternate between the paint brush and the fingerpainting tool. Generally keeping the paint brush at about 15 percent opacity and around 20 through 5 size.
I do all my details this way.
I place an over lay layer over the entire image using greens oranges and blues.
I create a separate layer for highlights on his face and the lighting in the background. and the coins on his body.
I sign it really tiny as not to distract from the piece.
