Description
With winter fast approaching, so many plants are ending their cycle and beginning to die, including this one. I loved the resemblance to the intricacies found in snowflakes, of which we will see soon. I also appreciated the deathy rigid look of the stems jutting out, an effect that Stephen says, reminded him of bones. Feel the chill?Related content

i would never have thought of comparing this spindley dying flower to a snowflake. You truly have a unique way of seeing things.

Wonderful! It's remarkable how so many things in nature resemble one another, isn't it? You know, it kind of reminds me of spiders too.

This is one of my favorite works of yours.. It's one of those things I wouldn't really have looked twice at.. Just a dead weed. But I love winter and I love Christmas and now you've changed this dead piece of nothing into a glorious snowflake. The black and white obviously helps a lot.. And I love the fuzzy flurry of a background. It's very crisp, and I feel cold looking at it. Because of your title though, I smiled at this, rather than just ignored and moved on. I like the framing, how it's towards the top of the picture, and that you don't really see the stem.. It makes the subject not look anchored in any way, and therefore, it looks like it could be a snowflake falling from the sky. Good job, dear!

I feel this is seriously one of your best works to date. I had actually came across this as it was in another member's wishlist, and thought holy cow that is such an awesome photograph...and when I went to add it to my own wishlist, bam I find out it is from you! I dunno why it did not show up in my message center...but it has been acting up really bad the past few days.
Even some notes that I sent out....never got to their destination!

hmm for me this does not seem to work in B&W but its just prob because my eyes are not customed to it.
hmm a Macro or a snow flake.. that would be nice..

It looks almost like the skeleton of a sea-urchin, should they actually have one.
Very skillfully taken :claps:
