Yes, Giotto. It was a reimagining of the theme. In Giotto's version, Adam and Eve are clearly sad and repentant for their sins. But I though about how sometimes people can be defiant and defensive when they are found in the wrong. In my painting, Adam doesn't want to hear it, Eve is defiant. Their not sorry.

So the theme is Giotto inspired while using the conventions of Caravaggio. Its clever. I like that.
