Description *Gregorian chanting in the background* Pie iesu domine, dona eis requiem. *WHACK*

I tried to do this in the style of old medieval paintings.  If you were an avid reader as a kid, you might remember the "Crimson Barricade" series.   Those books were my jam.

This is small part of a short comic I'm making but DAMN it's taking forever.  I didn't want to wait till the comic was finished to post this so here you go.

I know right?! I think I read about half of them but they were all great. Also incredibly violent for books kids read in grade school. So badass.

Thanks!

Ho shit, you're bringing back memories.  In the book at least.  I don't remember that scene in the series, but I only saw a few episodes of it that I remember.  That's absolutely nuts!  I learned the definition of the word "impaled" from those books by how many times it was described in detail.

Thanks!  I haven't read any of the books recently, but I got hit with a wave of nostalgia since designing my mouse character.

"Crimson Barricade" sounded funnier before I made the post.

I think it's more that 'Crimson Barricade' sounds like it actually could be a book series, and therefore your first thought isn't to decode it

Thanks, dude!  I appreciate it.  I guess you're into relics of the past, too, only of a different sort.  Cool stuff, by the way.

Definitely of a different sort. Right now I'm trying to prove/disprove the urban legend of an abandoned compound built in the LA hills by Nazi sympathizers back in WWII

Oh man oh man.  I REALLY want that to be proven.  What a legend!
