I felt like drawing something sad. Fpor some reason I canβt seem to draw anything funny right nowβ¦ donno why.This is my Harry Potter OC Artemis Winter as a child. She had a rather grave childhood.
I wanted to add her insane father here but I fear the sombre feel to the picture would be quite ruined as insanity can look rather funny. Especially the way I picture Thomas Winter.
She have a real hard time trusting people. She hated Cassandra from the start. Only warmed up to her when she found out that Cas was a Dunpeal and kind of had that as a hold on her and they formed a truce that slowly grew in to trust an friendship.

Very touching piece here ^_^ I enjoy seeing the girls' pasts and their families when you decide to picture them. You give your characters real dimension and depth by doing so and it allows for the audience to more easily identify and connect with them.
I actually got pretty emotional with the panel with her and her mother and the idea of tears being weakness because growing up I was taught the same thing. Tears and emotions, especially in public were considered to make you weak and vulnerable. So the best thing to do was to show nothing. Admit nothing and that way no one could hurt you.
All that ends up happening is that instead of coming off strong you eventually end up being seen as scary and dangerous.

I felt I shouldhave been "strong"and not show weakness, but I am such a bleeding and emotional person that trying to keep it in gave me panik attaks instead so it double failed. I guess that's why back in the day, when I made Ari, I mad eher so "strong" and "emotionless" time taought me that emotions were okay,and Ari got a backstory such as this.

Haha you're probably sick of hearing from me but I can't help it 
I have a similar issue, except instead of panic attacks, the "training", fighting, giving a blank face to frighten your opponent, and keeping people at a distant, a.k.a being "strong, has left me prone to violent outbursts and anger issues (getting better though).
Oh and out pours of emotion at times, I don't know about you. But throw a Criminal Minds Episode with a kid being saved and reunited with their parents and I'm tearing up by the end of it. xD

I don't think I have cred to a CM episode. I cry to alot of disney movies and whatever soppy stuff I watch at night.. but I don't think I have cried to CM

**SLIGHT SPOILERS** (?)
There's one episode a niece was getting molested by her Uncle and the Aunt - instead of helping her - saw her as competition for her husband's affections so she kidnapped, gagged and locked her in a back locker in a mall. When they found her she wasn't breathing and for like two minutes Hotch was trying to bring her back, pushing down on her little chest performing CPR and the Mom and Dad came running in and the looks on their faces... 
I just pointed to the t.v. she shook her head and walked back downstairs.
