Funny idea, but i want to leave open a little hole for different points of view.
I feel a bit sorry that this not intended "mickey mouse " aspect
seems to be such an overwhelming feature of this
piece, that my intention of doing some semi-abstract bone structure seems to go lost behind it.

wonderful. The construction is marvelous, it's symetrical and has this bone like look to it, which is awesome. I have to agree it does resemble that of a turtle shell to a degree, but still has that spine, pelvis feel to it... and you've definitally handled the medium quite well... better than many of us could probably even dream....

Did you use any particular type of paper? Or just the classic "new print"? :-p

well done!

That's amazing. I first thought it was real bone, until I read the description. Great detail and composition of the bones & such. It... is a made up skeleton, right? Not modeled after a real one?

this is unique. I can think of so many things I probably would have done with this piece if I had created it myself: a roleplaying hat (hey, all chars need a good quirk), a mask for a theater piece, or simply as the highlight to any given room. well done. Love the concept

great concept. It resembles a face-hugger from ALIEN the movie... I think when i take sculpture class in spring that i will use this concept as well... hmmm what to make what to make... oh and yes, a tutorial or at least a recipe of your materials would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You !
I tried to make paper mache several times after this,
but never received again this quality.
It seems to be very sensitive to the amounts of ingredients you use.
I used for this :
- newspaper,boiled and chopped
- fine sawdust
- a cellulose fibre powder used for smoothening walls
- chalk powder (for that bone-white color )
- wallpaper glue
and water

mixed all well, put it into a plastic bag and let it mature for three months.
Maybe the quality depends also on the information content of used newspaper.
Good luck !

And it is from this that I draw my professional conclusion that mickey mouse evolved from a turtle. I have found an interevolutionary skeleton!

Honestly, great work! That's some serious talent you have there!
