This is the biggest picture I have created. It's 18 X 24 inches.This verse has been on my heart for a while. Often I get the idea that even though I want a relationship with Jesus, I will somehow do something to mess it up. I was reading Romans and I came to this section and realized: if all these things cannot separate us from God, what can I do? I think that as long as we truly want a relationship with God (he will not mess with our free will), he will help us to find a way.
It's a comforting thought to me.
Anyway... If any of you have a verse that has been on your heart I'd love to hear it.

I really love this visual concept, especially the "steampunk" wings! Steampunk angels, yes!! 
1) Fill the space. Look for ways to make your words and motifs fit together and use the space fully, think about borders, patterns, decorative motifs, etc. Look up famous posters in google for examples.
2) Study different letter forms. I think you'd benefit from learning the basics of calligraphy.
I had a look through your gallery, wonderful stuff there: fanciful dragons, griffins, and Aslan!! Keep up the great work!

I'm glad you like it. I've started developing an interest in steam punk recently. I've always kind of associated angels with fire too.
Yeah... I wasn't completely satisfied with how the wings incorporated into the piece, but I plan to do more verse art in the future so I figure that'll give me a chance to improve on that.
