Do you sell these? I would love to buy them!

Thanks for the comment . I don't sell them, they are unfortunately a bit too uneven to be sellable (even if it's not too noticeable on the photos)

I actually would like to make this or something like it, but with wood or metal.

Wood or metal is a good idea, as they are a bit wonky with just cardboard. Feel free to try (personnally I'd love to be able to make them from wood but I don't have the skills yet.)

Thank you. I don't really have much skills wood or metal to speak of ether, but I have a few ideas around the learning curve. The painting will be the easiest part.

how did you to this?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

mossy-tree In reply to Nimiel-Dei [2012-01-05 09:16:01 +0000 UTC]

With patience! And with thick corrugated cardboard for the flat parts (top and bottom), thinner cardboard for the curved borders, and a lot of glue.
(The cardboard bits come from packages that normally end up in the trash: cereal boxes etc.)

Thanks for the comment

I got the idea of splitting knotworks into separate parts a little while ago (for a bracelet) and now I'm trying to see if it can work on other objects, like this box
