Oriole was just standing to his paws to reclimb the tree when he heard the ever familiar voice of his only sister - Magpie. His sky blue orbs looked up with slight apprehension, the pupils crossing as her tongue licked his nose. Comprehending what she was saying took him longer than a few seconds, an array of expressions crossing his face as he reacted to her words. Treading carefully, he opened his maw in defense.

"My nose is fine, but I wish you wouldn't insult the tree like that...What did it ever do to you?" He grumbled, wiping his nose dry with a paw, ignoring the annoying name she'd decided to give him. Wasted words wouldn't help him in this situation, he knew how stubborn Maggie gets.

"Well- I wouldn't have too if you weren't up in it all the time instead of with valuable beings... Like your dearest sister" Magpie knew her brother didnt like to speak out, and when he did it was typically in defense of things or to state something important. Thus when he protected the tree's well being it put a sour taste in her mouth.

Oriole wasn't progressing in his mood change so with a light bump, she rested her chin on his shoulder and stuck her tongue out. "Why don't you take a break from your bird games- and help me with something. I don't think anyone else would understand... but I thought you might."

Oriole was about to open his maw in defense of the tree when Magpie put her chin on his shoulder, his ears lowering a bit in guilt at her last words. His eyes flicked to hers, no suspicion in them as he sighed guiltily.

"I-I guess I can try to help..." Always unable to say no, he licked his sister's ear, hoping she wasn't offended by what he said about the tree.

Maggie lit up again and removed herself from his shoulder, standing up after a haphazard stumble.

"Great! How good are you at getting bird feathers? And finding lil- thingys. Like string and stuff." She inquired, tail in a swift curl as she met his piercing blue gaze. Looking over her shoulder the thought of invading the healers retreat briefly crossed her mind- Unsure where she'd find any of the sort. Perhaps the armor dude? The grey mutt wasn't at all familiar with the cats around camp aside from her family and frantic faces she note mentally.

"Lead the way if you've got an idea- I'll explain on the way"
