This guy is looking pretty badass. Rumoured for a few days before confirmation, we randomly have some sort of Mewtwo related Pokemon. Figured he deserved to be drawn haha.For those of you who have no idea what's going on, this is him:

According to the actual website, this guy is meant to have a connection to Mewtwo; it doesn't say that it is actually a transformation or anything like a lot of people will be suspecting. What do you think?
Strangely no mention of Mew at all.
Will probably add some text later on when we have more details about him to fill some space, let me know if you've heard anything official.
So many questions!! Haha October can't come fast enough.

idk, he looks like a monkey with a tail on his head to me. It's like Mewtwo got jiggy with a Primape or something...My feelings are mixed...exactly how I felt when Sylveon was announced.

I personally prefer the idea of it being a new PokΓ©mon. I like Mewtwo as it is and would rather see this one as a sort of new experiment. Since Mewtwo failed to obey its creators, some other crazy people decided to create another uber powerful PokΓ©mon. It'd be nice if this one actually was a success.
If this turns out to be a Mewtwo form, it's gonna be awkward, but I'm not going to complain and say "SCREW THE NEW GENERATION". I'm actually looking foward to it.

It's going to show up in the movie alongside Genesect, which is known for changing its forms. I really hope that it's got some different backstory, like maybe a scientist created it to be a diffferent pokemon even better than Mewtwo, because it doesn't feel right for Mewtwo to get an evolution/different form somehow. He was supposed to be the ultimate pokemon, right? Why would you ever give that a sequel?

Sure. But Mewtwo was more like man's idea of what the ultimate pokemon would be, right? Not necessarily the best for the world, but what would be the best and most efficient for what (mostly evil) humans would want. Or at least, that's how I always read what Team Rocket was up to. They could care less about a pokemon's purpose in life, as long as they can turn it to their benefit.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Who knows? Maybe they experimented on Mewtwo and he gained the ability to transform?

That would be sad, but a really good plot. Having him regain faith in humanity in his other two movies, only to get captured and experimented on again... That's incredibly sad!
It's gotta be something like that. Mewtwo was human tampering with Mew in the first place, so another one has to be further human tampering, either on the original Mewtwo, or by creating another one.

Giving him a new evolution is a great idea, I would like to assume that he changes forme from a special item which alters his forme.

That's probably what it is, especially if they're laying him up against Genesect, which also does that. I really wouldn't mind, and the design is even slowly starting to grow on me... But I think Pokemon is starting to over-do the alternate form thing a little. It was creative the first dozen times, but now it's starting to feel old.

I was kind of hoping for a Mew(three) that looked more like Mew than Mewtwo but this same size. They also should of gave it a different color scheme at least, different from Mewtwo's. But I'm not complaining, I love how they're giving Gen 1 attention again and this guy isn't bad. Anyways nice work on this, love the pose.

YAY for Cosmic Forme/Mew3 I herd he's related to Mewtwo and I herd he's a different forme. so i;m calling him cosmic forme/Mew3 until we get mroe confirmation. but I LOVE THIS!! looks SO BADASS!!

The main question everyone is asking.
Is it:
A new Mewtwo Form?
A fusion of Mew and Mewtwo like Kyurem and either Reshiram or Zekrom?
Or... Mewthree?
Whatever it is it seems interesting!

Will definitely be interesting, I kinda hope it's a new Pokemon entirely, like a Mewthree of sorts. If Mewtwo actually transforms into this it'll be a bit odd. Keen to find out!
