Don't piss this boy off!
This one has been a long time coming, and holy crap I actually like it. Lightning is too much fun to do.
There is a shit load of stuff going on there, soooo many layers, and only 20 frames worth of animation. I ditched the floating rocks thing, it just made it all look too cluttered.
Let me know if you guys think this looks believable at least; some more dragonball ones might be on the way if it gets enough attention. An MLP one is coming next, then I'll try to avoid looped animations for a while.
Gonna go searching for some dragonball sound effects like the lightning and the aura, and one of Gohan's theme songs, and put it up on youtube with my other animations soon. Hopefully that'll make it seem kinda powerful.
The whole lot of it was unreferenced, so I think I'm starting to get a hang of this stuff. I don't know if it's too fast or too choppy or whatever; if I feel it isn't right I'll adjust things later on. I had some massive annoying issues with the way colours were showing up, so if it looks a bit odd, let me know.

The shading looks very great here! The lighting too as well as the sparks! The aura, the clothes and so on! Really hope you do more animations!

That site is really useful for grabbing all sorts of music and sound effects, so since you're focusing on doing animations, it might be useful for you if you can't find a sound effect anywhere else. Wow, that's an epic animation. The quality is amazing!
It really shows off that deadly calm stare! That, 'you're screwed'
look he gives is awesome in it's own right, but the lightning tops it.
The only thing I could think of to make it more menacing is if he had some
slight tears in the corner of his eyes. Then he'd give more emotion into it.
It'd give off more of a "I'm going to hit you with everything i've got!" feel to it.
But that is only a matter of opinion. The emotionless stare is great as well!
