Description
The pic on the left shows the road in the year 1915.Back then it was a one lane road made from steamrolled hard-pan. When two vehicles met, they would have to slow down and pull halfway off the road to let each other by.
The road was widened to two lanes in 1928, but still remained a dirt and hard-pan road...vast improvement.
In the year 1957, the road was paved and marked, the way the road is shown in the right pic.
As for that closest tree near the foreground in the old pic, it was struck by lightning back in 1927.
