I've been trying to find a micro-camera that would fit through a windows of HO scale model houses and HO scale model cars, and would still have good close up resolution.
I was able to get house pictures of the model of the Meerkat Family house before I started building the roof on it. But now, I need a camera that can go in through a window half the size of a postage stamp.
I've recently been told by a pawn shop owner that those kind of cameras are illegal for the public to have in the USA. He told me that the logic of the U.S. law makers goes something like this..."We have no way of knowing who the creepos are out there who would stick one of those cameras up a woman's dress, or stick one down a child's pants. So we just have to assume the whole population is made up of those kind of creepos, and forbid everyone from having those kind of cameras"...America the home of the free, tell me about it.
I was told that the only ones in "good ole USA" who can get a micro-cam are the military, NASA, sheriffs, police departments, CIA, FBI, IRS, DEA, Secret Service and various other law enforcement agencies.
It's looking like I will have to ditch the models I have so far, and build larger scale models that a standard camera can fit into. I've already begun work on 1/25th scale models where I can use my Nikon Coolpix (or a Go-pro or an ION) to get into them, which will replace the HO scale models that a decent AMERICAN camera will not fit into...
