The earliest car I can remember in my family was a 1936 Dodge that smelled nice and was a trusty workhorse. While I was recovering from the measles, my folks got rid of it and acquired a 1954 Ford twodoor (until I was old & responsible enough to not open a car door while it was in motion, my folks had a car that had no rear doors.). I now drive a Honda.

I thought the trusty 1936 Dodge was bought new. It was not until recently that I found papers showing it was bought from a neighbor in the early 50's and so had been in the family for a few years only. By then, both my folks had passed on & I was unable to ask either one about this. There were other puzzles about my family's history that I had no way to answer.
