Description
Watercolor and colored pencil. Just a simple little thing I wanted to get turned out.The actual painting has more ochres and is less "lemon" yellow than this scan. I'll see what I can do about color-correcting the image and might upload a better version soon.

That's beautiful, especially the unicorn. Of course, I'm partial the them.

Very cheerful. It could be cool to see this in different tones.

I just LURVES drawing knots! It's so soothing. Unless I mess up my over-unders, at which point I want to bang my head against the wall for a while.

The knotwork and coloring are gorgeous, and his face is beautiful. He's a bit thick through the body and neck, but it's better than I could manage!

Hellooooo!!!!
I think I must have found you on here through a link on Enchanted Arts, because it's SO hard to find specific people on here. I actually hadn't remembered putting you on my list, so when I saw the comment, I immediately put you on again. Then I read the comment.

Thanks! This is another picture that I did using colors that I'm not used to working with. I'm glad you like the way it worked out.

This picture makes me feel so warm inside ^_^ I love the organic properties of the lines, its so natural, the muzzle is a little on the short side but the awesome knots way more than make up for it, I absolutely love it!

I tend to have that problem with the muzzles. I guess I'm afraid of making them too long and weird looking. It's something I'm definitely working on, though.

For fixing that, I'd suggest doodling and scribbling in a heavily stylized style, exaggerating features a lot, especially the muzzle. Methinks this would help you get more comfortable with the idea of a longer muzzle.

Thanks. Part of the problem comes from my having drawn centaurs for YEARS when I was younger, for a centaur 'zine. So when I started doing full-on horses I had some trouble figuring how to put their heads back on. Which is why I've been doing a lot more horses and unicorns this year. Practice practice practice!! That's a great idea about the doodling. I've done a couple of cartoony-type sketches with horses, and the anatomy problems aren't nearly so pronounced on those, so I think you might have something there.
