latest in a long line
I was a bit worried about this one but seems to've been relatively unfounded, I think. I've worked out that this process is not for the faint-hearted; there were a lot of points during this painting where I just thought; nope, this ain't working . . . But I knew that all the others had gotten through that stage fine, so 'twas all good. A bit of different texture helped ease the monotony, too, so woo! to that.
I took a screencap so I'll put the video up tomorrow (I need sleep now). Enjoy!
EDIT. Video's up . Pity about the music, but anyways... Perhaps I shouldn't've used the album version.

And I have, sadly, never played Starcraft. Or WoW for that matter. So I can't really say I know enough to be a real fan or not, but man, work like that, if I was making a game or a movie or whatever I'd totally hire you to be the concept artist.

Well I don't think they're in it at the moment but they were for a while and yeah, they were regular attacking units with guns when they were.

Remarkable detail!! This must have taken forever to work out all the smile and odd bits that make up this very unique character! Super wicked and I can easily picture this guy trying to hack me up in a game! Excellent work and congratulations on the DD!

Awesomely great work, but err... The face is all gone... Even Zerg do need at least eyes, I think... And according to the little Portraits in the original Starcraft, they still do have somewhat of a "face".

yeah, I did cheat a little there... there's still space inside the helmet for it, though. And the pics of them from SC-Ghost don't have faces.
Anyways, they could just be directed by an overlord or the hive-mind in general, so eyes aren't a complete necessity. (particularly for a suicide unit)

Well, we could start speculations about not falling over stumbling blocks and stuff, but I think that would get too far.
You did a great job, missing face or not. At the other hand, you caught up the new design of the space marine's armor pretty well. They totally messed it up in the official comics.

Okay onto Critique. Everything is well done except I don't really like what u did with the face. If you look at the unit portrait while playing StarCraft you'll see what I mean.
