Description
latest in a long lineI was a bit worried about this one but seems to've been relatively unfounded, I think. I've worked out that this process is not for the faint-hearted; there were a lot of points during this painting where I just thought; nope, this ain't working . . . But I knew that all the others had gotten through that stage fine, so 'twas all good. A bit of different texture helped ease the monotony, too, so woo! to that.
I took a screencap so I'll put the video up tomorrow (I need sleep now). Enjoy!
EDIT. Video's up . Pity about the music, but anyways... Perhaps I shouldn't've used the album version.
You get the point without it.

o_o This is why I could never make it as a concept artist. Amazing job, man. This Sketchbook Pro program, does it help smooth lines or something, or could you have done the lineart just as easily in Photoshop?
Oh, and grats on DD.

Ooooh! Shiny. I like all the zerg messines of the pic. Very good interpretation of the infested terran. It really catches the feeling of the zerginess. (not sure if there is an expression like that)

Not kidding. I am TERRIFIED of that drawing. I'm considering removing it from my favorites, leaving DA, destroying my computer and possibly burning the internet just to get away from it.
But yeah, great work.

Wow, I'm really happy to see somebdy do StarCraft fan art, that game was a huge chunk of my childhood
I'm a little sad to see that some people commenting don't seem to know what Star Craft is...
That makes me feel pretty old haha.

First of all-this picture, and it's concept is amazingly well done. I just watched the video-your skills are fantastic.
I just have some questions regarding the software you used.
The first part where you drew the lineart-what did you use to do it?
Photoshop is obviously the painting software but what program did you use to record the session with?

The linework was done in Alias (Autodesk now, I think) Sketchbook Pro (lovely program for drawing in), and I used a program called Copernicus to screencap it though I can't say I'd recommend it, really, it's a bit shifty; I should look into an alternative...
Thanks!

I tracked down Sketchbook-I'm in love. It's an awesome app!!!! Just wish you could move the colour wheel thingy.

I very rarely use colours in it anyways, so I've never had a problem but
very nice indeed!

I know the chances for a fast reply are slim considering that you got a DD for this but I'm content to wait. Congrats again man-seriously awesome piece.
