Back to the whole mecha-inspired -by-birds thing again, been wanting to do a paradise tanager for ages now! I think I might try again though and see if I can get a different feel, maybe something lighter and more agile?Anyway had fun with this, and while the pose is a bit uninspired I'm happier with it looking at it again this morning.

Humanoid mecha based on birds? Now that's an interesting concept!
What first drew my attention to this piece were the bright colors on the head and chest armor, and I just have to saw that the way you captured their reflectiveness is just gorgeous.

I think the idea is great and is an excellent start for those who would want to make a series of mech designs based off a real life creature.

I think taking it to the next level would be your bird of choice then trying to capture the feel and pallet, but creating a quadrupedal mech.
That little bit of reflection on the chest was a nice touch!

I love the crazy vibrant blues you use in your bird inspired mechs. It's insanely blue, but it doesn't look out of place.
