Been a bit quiet lately, so nothing like a special occasion to make me actually do something - this time, my wonderful sister *Hannakin 's birthday! (Go and say hello!)Not really sure where this came out of, though I've been wanting to paint some various antelope for a while now, so!

I have a thing for trees. They're just too powerful of a life form. And did I mention they're unmovable? (Well, nearly unmovable.) This is beautiful on so many levels! The color pallet(sp) is perfect. It has a 'fall' feel to it. Astonishing work! You should be proud.Β

Clearly this is a painting of Dwalinn, one of the four stags that live in the branches of Yggdrasil, the ash tree of the universe.

What a lovely picture! I have to say . . . this is really interesting. Great job with the trailing red of the antelope, and I love how the tree fades away towards the background.

I'm fascinated by the idea of the antelope being perched on a tree. Β I'm not sure you meant to do this, but the bottom of the tree looks as if it's a slope, which I thought was very clever. Β As for the colors and shapes that you formed with the large brush strokes, I'm completely blown away.
