Been a bit quiet lately, so nothing like a special occasion to make me actually do something - this time, my wonderful sister *Hannakin 's birthday! (Go and say hello!)Not really sure where this came out of, though I've been wanting to paint some various antelope for a while now, so!

I wouldn't say this is 'abstract', it looks too much like a specific thing to be abstract, it's clearly an gemsbok and a tree... but I agree it is wonderful.

Mr. Mancini, I'd like to take some time to just tell you that you've been one of the few inspirations I've had for a career in the arts, and that I've been following your work ever since learning about Starcraft II's release, and seeing your art here on Deviantart for the first time. I'm not even out of High School yet, but even then I really had no idea what to do with my life, what I wanted to do... and honestly, great artists like you have given me a kind of goal, to set myself for. You have possibly the best job I could imagine, working for such a large company like Blizzard, but this isn't even really about that.
I'd like to thank you for being such an amazing artist, and such an awesome inspiration. I've just sat for hours, looking at your work and trying to just understand the concepts and ideas behind your various pieces. It's an eye opening experience, and honestly it's wonderful trying to pick apart how you do things, through either the tutorials you've strewn about through your gallery, or the few times you've recorded yourself painting (Please do more?).
Either way, I'm rambling on a bit, now, but thank you, Mr. Luke Mancini, keep up the simply wonderful work.
