Description
After a few months of working on this on and off through other distractions, it is done. I have been haphazzardly calling this my "masterpiece," but since I did not conceive the original concept, I can hardly claim that. Either way, it is probably one of my best pixel pieces to date, and I made extensive use of dithering, and it worked well I think.To see a picture of the original album cover, check here: [link] (courtesy of Amazon).

I'm not sure you understand the difficulty and talent needed to re-create an album cover pixel by pixel. The DD was not put up for originality, per se, but for the work and quality that was put into its creation.

perhaps so. Pixel art is created pixel by pixel, one by one, and is very very time consuming. The artist has to consider his choice of colours and where to exactly put them.

But, really, you don't. Having seen your gallery before, and looking at it again now, I have to say you are the creator of some wonderful pieces. And it's a shame I haven't taken the time to go through your gallery more in depth.

Unfortunately, you may have to wait a while for that one. Momentary Lapse is probably one of the albums I like the least; not just the music, but the cover doesn't interest me as much as a lot of the other ones do. Mind you, you will probably see me doing that before I ever touch the cover of The Final Cut... Wow, what ever made Waters think he needed to make the cover for it when Storm Thorgerson was already making some of the best and well recognised covers in music for them .-.
