Child abuse is one of the most terrible things...wether it is physical pr psychological abuse, itΒ is something that affects us our whole life. No one deserves to be abused, and no one has the right to abuse.

I know what it's like to be abused and there is no excuse for it. My mom neglected me since I was a baby and to make matters worse as I got older she would abuse me psychologically by saying I was a monster because I acted like my dad,whom she also abused. Β I was then sexually abused by my step-dad from 2010 to April of this year,thankfully, this April my mom disowned me and I now live with my dad.

How can I help stop child abuse? I want to know so badly.
All of the sites I've looked at talk about what to do after you've seen a child who's being abused, but what about how to find them? I don't want to just sit here, waiting for a child who needs help to just appear. How can I go out and find these kids who're too scared to tell anyone and who're being forced to put on a smile and pretend everything's alright?

I agree with this, however people need to realize that slapping a child on the butt for misbehaving IS NOT, and will NEVER BE considered abuse. To think that spanking a kid on the butt is abuse is simply stupid.

This is a great idea, I hope it gets out into the world to stop child abuse. I used to get abused, but finally my dad let my grandparents adopt me and now I'm not abused or neglected anymore. Remember, it's not just physical abuse you have to stop, it's verbal, mental, neglect and physical.

I'm lucky to actually be taking care of myself and caring about what I do, most kids that have to deal with child abuse never grow out of thinking that they arn't worth anything, or that they don't matter. I hope that kids that are being abused right now speak up. If someone isn't acting like themselves remember, just ask, even just a few words that show you care can help any situation.

Actually, sometimes you can't see what's going on. With me, it actually wasn't physical abuse. IT was more mental and verbal. When that happens someone stops actually caring about themselves and what happens to them or what they do. I'm lucky to be able to do all that even though I was abused and neglected.
