Serina 270 MPE Late ocean age,Dixon island

A sprinter squave has sneaked upon a lone Dixon Island Seraph, that has stayed to far away from its herd. The sprinter squave was spotted by it, before reaching pouncing distance. The Dixon Island Seraph flees imediately and prepares to take flight.

The sprinter squave gives chase, and reaches a very high speed, but the Dixon Island seraph manages to gain a sufficient momentum and finally takes off.

While it may appear as if it has sucessfully escaped the Sprinter Squave, it is not safe yet.

The sprinter squave stil has a last trick on his sleeve, it can leap into the air, latch onto the prey and hurt it enough, for example by biting into the neck and causing blood loss, so it falls from the sky and can be eaten.

However this has a high chance of failure, most of the time the Spirnter sqave fails to catch the prey or even gets thrown off before it can latch itself onto it.
