Description I admit that the three-tone scheme I used here is not my own invention. I got the idea from *Shimmering-Sword [link] who used the technique very successfully, and more skillfully, on some BattleTech tank designs. But I thought the look was so damned effective that I used it on a piece of my own.

This, kids, is what happens when there is no World War II, and atomic bombs aren't invented until the 1970's: conventional warfare goes to seed. At least, that's what happened in the world of my online Graphic Novel, 6-Commando. [link]

Here we see one of the sister formations to the eponymous military unit of the story. This is 4-Commando, and they operate in Somalia, which is part of the East African Disrecognized Zone. And with them is their Autonomous Armored Vehicle, a robotic "Rumbler" tank with no crew, named Victor-Three-Victor. Victor was "born" at the Nordyne Defense Dynamics plant in Calgary, Alberta on December 14, 1996, and he has been with 4-Commando ever since. He is not to be trifled with. He represents the apex of United Nations Alliance tank and artificial intelligence technology. Victor is capable of withstanding atomic blasts, and in the event of loss of command and control, can continue to operate on his own for up to three years, or until his ammunition supplies are depleted.

I appreciate it, but this is 2D artwork. I don't use 3D models.

But thanks anyhow!

I saw the thumbnail thinking "that looks like battletech, I'll check it out" then I read you got it from me. Glad to give you the idea, though I only use cell shading out of battletechs art requirements.

Meh, if it works, it works! No matter where it comes from. Your tanks were where I saw it most recently so, I guess credit where credit's due, either way. And actually, speaking of Battletech, the missile rack on Victor's back is an homage to the old SRM carrier design from TRO-2750.

Homage is a loose usage, though, now I think if it, because I used a Russian TOS-1 MLRS tank for reference, actually.
