I also add a vote for .net 4.5 support - the actual program does start up correctly its only when you start adding shortcuts that the program crashes and then will not start up. I'm guessing this would be a relatively easy bug to track down! I used to love this program please fix the .NET 4.5 issue so we can start using it again

I have two monitors, and it seems that launchpad starts on my secondary screen, instead of primary... Looks promising but this is quite turndown for me.

you change the monitor it starts up on in the settings. I have a 3 monitor set up and can configure to appear on any of the monitors...

I add that the problem occurs after every resume from hibernation. To make it work you need to restart the program.

A "glitch" i found:
After closing a folder, the line below it takes a few more frames to get into position, after the folder is closed. Albeit being a minor graphical detail, it loses a bit of feel of a surface, for the icons and the background lose sync.

adding: You should look after the anti-aliasing of the text as well. Would be PERFECT if you used the gdipp way of rending, but i know nothing about programming. Making Helvetica and a little bit bolder would work as well!

Meh. I marked "pin to desktop" and the program disappeared forever. Doesn't appear again by pressing the hotkeys, nor corner of the screen. Process is still running, though o_o
Any workaround?

Im testing the launcher as games launcher platform. One thing I've noticed that the icon text gets truncated when it has enough length. So how about spanning the texts over, say, two lines and after that truncate them?
That way most of the game titles will show correctly.
Currently I have Assassin's Creed Brotherhood showing as Assassin's...rotherhood and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams as Giana Sis...ed Dreams.
Is this a theme thing or does it need coding?

I just tried the x64 version on my Windows 8 system. But each time I hit "shift + tab" I get a black screen with "press F to add stuff". When I drag & drop something it does not appear. Any ideas what is going wrong?

For multi monitor setups... it would be nice to have win-launch as a persistent overlay for one monitor- on and off by a toggle key or click. And... the settings/edit bar... and that X icon (which really ruins the otherwise great look of the application) keeps popping up every time I activate winlaunch. If you could make it an autohide feature that only appears when you move your mouse over the bottom of the screen, that would be great.

I would love to compare it to xlaunchpad but apparently there's no way I can add items dragging from the desktop or anywhere else ... I could even try to add them to the items.xml but I don't know the right sintax ...

Seems to have problems loading my items.xml after upgrading to 4.5 .net framework. I tried renaming items.xml to start with a fresh slate and it worked. I renamed items.xml back to the proper name and result is that the program no longer functions.

Overall, it's great. An issue I came across was activating HotButtons (Click Middle-Mouse button), whenever I change my Wallpaper, it'll deactivate. I have to re-activate it a couple of times before it works again. Also - Would it be possible in your next release to integrate opened windows into the background when WinLaunch is opened, Instead of having windows opened and only showing your current wallpaper? Thanks.

The 64-bit version of this works great for me on Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, with the exception that when I try to slide to the next page of shortcuts, the second page only moves into view slightly and then I can't move the page anymore. I've tried holding my mouse button and moving to the second page of shortcuts, but it stops at about 25% view and won't move any further. I've also tried flicking to the next page like I do on my iPad, but that doesn't work either. Is there something simple I'm missing? I've also tried the 32-bit version and the same thing happens. If someone could help me fix this issue, it would be greatly appreciated!

If you could add horizontal scrolling to scroll trough the pages and also a bounce effect to that it would add compatibility on dell laptops. (Two finger scrolling) Since Dell is not Synaptics supported.

hi everybody. WinLaunch has been working fine so far but i have recently encountered a problem with it. I have enable the 3 finger touch on my synaptics touch pad and it works perfectly. BUT when i click on the plus button and click exite the whole program shuts down. I cannot access it after that with my three finger touch on my touch pad. i have tired reopening the program from the icon but it does not open. SOMETIMES, not all the time, when i click on the icon, your information comes up like whats new in the latest update and how to use the program but i can't actually access the program even when i close that window out. SOMETIMES when i close the window another window comes up saying which blur type i want to use but every time i select a blur type that window closes and nothing else happens. Please help me find a solution to this problem because I love WinLaunch and I have recommended it to SO MANY of my friends who have immediately downloaded it on their laptops. I have a HP Pavillion dm4-3099se laptop with an Intel i5 2nd generation CPU and a Intel HD 3000 graphics card. If you have any other question please ask me and i will tell you in the best way i can. this is brilliant man. Exactly what I wanted. Im having a few issues though. When I group the icons together they dont work. Nothing happens when I click on the Icon I want. Also I keep getting an error message that says "the requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open" ? Any ideas?

Great app. A good eyecandy too. It's better and not as resource hogging as dock+standalone stacks. Good job! Better if we can delete via right-click, though watching the icons wobbling is quite fun.

You can set the hotkey activation within the Winlaunch program to something like Shift+F12 or some other shortcut you never use, then create an Autohotkey script with something along the lines of:
#::+{F12}
Which would remap the Windows Key to actually send the Shift+F12 command.

Some apps don't play nice in 8. Besides, they have upgraded the filesystem so you might not be able to run some win7 apps.

i wish it were possible to open windows explorer and other programsdirectly from winlaunch. i know creating an entire new file browsing system isn't easy, but it would be nice if you didn't have to cut back to the desktop every time you wanted to run a program.

Hi, ive tested it in Windows 8. Is there a possibility for a semi-transparent window? Looks a bit bad without it. Windows 8 doesnt provide AERO so transparency is not there (out of the box).
