Let’s see…is there some random Transformer fart that I have yet to release?
Okay.
Starscream: everyone’s favorite backstabber. Personally, I think what made him interesting was his color scheme; Red and blue are usually synonymous with the good guys’ paint job. So to have someone so richter-scale-breakingly bad made him fascinating.
BUT.
Didja know that Starscream shouldn’t have looked like Starscream? I remember reading that Starscream’s character sheet was one of the other Decepticon jets…I think the purple one (generic baddie threads). They fudged up during the pilot episodes and colored Starscream differently, but decided to stick with it so as to not confuse the kids watching (sadly such ethic was taken behind the barn and shot with the series’ later infamous inconsistency bonanza).

And just to be a butt, you know the new live action movie Megatron design…does anyone else think he looks like a bunch of metal hotdogs? What, just me?

I AM SUCH A LIAR.
As soon as I wrote the words ‘this’ll be my last Transformers fanart’, I was visited by the Hypocrite Fairy, and he said “Hello Jason/Tard! It shows flexibility to recant a statement you made/You’re a putz and no one will ever love a flakey leaf like you. I’ll grant you more inspiration/I’ll make your soul a never-resting cloud of uncertainty!”
Well…better to be an artistic hypocrite who typed “I can’t believe I posted another joke about them…” than the usual Internet hypocrite who typed ”I can’t believe I posted my topless photos on MySpace! It’s okay I’ll just delete them and they’ll be gone from the Internet forever…right?”

You know what flabbergasted me? That throughout my life I totally went along with the Transformers’ name system, and only until the live action reiteration did I realize the dorky fanfiction-quality to their names. I was watching the movie, Optimus mentions “Bumblebee”, and I think “…wait his legitimate birth name is Bumblebee from the very gray and animalless Cyberton hospital (hopefully not delivered by the incompetent quack Ratchet)? They could’ve had Prime look at his disguise and given him the nickname of Bumblebee to show some kind of logic behind it.”

But you shouldn’t point out movie inconsistencies…they’ll make sure you don’t ruin the experience for everyone else. I bet the Transformers were actually made in China… I think that’s why I never got into scifi staples like Star Trek; every alien being knew perfect English and used human terminology despite supposedly never having visited Earth, and reminded me that I was watching grown men in costumes pretending to be Martians.

For the good news, I’ve finally broken my watercolor streak and used my barely-hanging-on Prismacolor markers. And to make up for the art buddies still watching me and praying for the day they see the generalized jokes shining down upon them from the mountain high…fear the darkness no longer! My computer was being a tramp and caught a virus, so while I was forced to interact with the physical world I sat down and did up a few art pieces.
