So, THAT's what Brian was up to while he was dead

It's nice that they somehow met up.
But how did they end up in Heaven? I mean, I could count how many mistakes Brian and. Edna made β and probably haven't confessed about.
Overall, I honestly wished this happened in either show. :3

I'm a bit behind the times, but what happened to Krabappel?

mrcontroversial In reply to BadMillennial [2014-02-24 17:34:16 +0000 UTC]
Marcia Wallace, the voice of Mrs. Krabappel, passed away last year.Β
Because the producers do not want to replace her with another voice, they decided to retire Mrs. Krabappel altogether.

*nods* Yeah, it was fun to hear her performance and give warmth to the character. And I understand, sad to see her (Ms. Wallace) go.

It's just as well; Phil Hartman and a few other voice actors that have gone had their respective characters retired in the series.

Lol... recalling Brian's penchant for human women, it would've been so much funnier if he motioned to try and kiss Mrs. Krabappel while in Heaven... but then she would've been overcome with disgust that she would've punched him so hard enough to send him back down to Earth.Β XD

Well in all fairness, Ms. Krabappel's death was genuine and unavoidable due to her voice actress' death, whereas Brian's death feels more...forced. Like the writers of Family Guy just did it for the ratings, specially since Seth Mcfarlane is still alive. Not sure if I would compare the two deaths but to each his own. I do like the artwork though.

I agree that the writers of Family Guy did it for ratings and publicity. It totally worked.
For this illustration, I wouldn't say I'm tryin' to compare the two, but giving them both a tribute. Yes, Ms. Wallace passed away, and the producers of the Simpsons are also retiring Mrs. Krabappel after Ms. Wallace's last performance. As for Brian, with recent rumors circling around that he will be back, don't know how I feel until I see it actually happened.
Still, just a tribute to two wonderful characters that I enjoy, as well as others. I do appreciate your point of view, and for your courtesy in sharing it. Thank you for commenting and your input. Β

Do we know of any suspects in the Family Guy series?

Not to my knowledge no. New episode tonight, but it doesn't look like it's going to keep talkin' about what happened from last time.

I hate to sound serious about a murdered cartoon character (and I mean that people would make a joke out of this), but I'm determined to find out who are the suspects to point out and the evidence that points out the murder suspect (i.e. the kind of car the murderer drove; what road that character was driving on; and what time Brian died.
Again, I may sound too serious over a cartoon character's death, but I am an animator who loves Brian as a comedian.
All the suspects I can come up with are Quagmire and the Giant Chicken.

The reason why Edna Krabappel is dead is because her voice actress (Marcia Wallace) died. They have announced that they killed the character off the show.

I feel sorry for Ned Flanders. This is the 2nd time he's widowed. Edna Krabappel is not just the 4th Grade teacher at Springfield Elementary School, She is the also a step-mother of Todd and Rodd Flanders. This is also the 2nd time Todd and Rodd loses a mother. R.I.P. Marcia Wallace (1942-2013)

The producers of the show are retiring her after Marcia Wallace's last recorded episode.
No one else will voice her.
π: 0 β©: 1
StonemaulMidget In reply to mrcontroversial [2013-12-06 16:10:20 +0000 UTC]
So, in truth, Edna lost her voice?
π: 0 β©: 1
mrcontroversial In reply to StonemaulMidget [2013-12-06 19:05:12 +0000 UTC]
No.
It's more than that. It's not just the voice of Edna that passed away, but the personality and original concept that Marcia Wallace brought to Edna when she performed.Β
Because the producers were sadden and proud of Ms. Wallace's work over the years, they do not see Edna ever being performed and being attempted by another person. So they're retiring her (Edna) after Ms. Wallace's last recording (read last paragraph).
That is a big deal, as they have retired characters before with Phil Hartmann's characters Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz.
So it's not just about Edna 'losing' her voice, but the actual character. Her embodiment.Β

Why wasn't it Quagmire who died?! He hates Brian!!
You know what, Vinny and Stewie should make Quagmire responsible as a murder suspect, just because he dislikes him.
And who killed Edna, Quagmire?!

Most definitely! Β And I do apologize for not responding sooner.
Like you, I felt that Mrs. Krabappel (as well as Marcia Wallace) have done well in their respected lives in reaching others and enriching them. I felt the same way for Brian, and the more I thought of Brian, it brought me back to Mrs. Krabappel...and they came together off that aspect.
I'm glad you enjoyed the work, and I enjoy yours as well. Continue to enrich others.
