Description
So-named for its superficially doglike form and use by Hunters as a "hunting dog", Jasprean Hound Cats are social pursuit predators native to the forests and plains of West Jasprea. Attacks on sapient species are practically unheard of, which along with their natural proficiency in hunting hoofed mammals, has lead to their popularity as an alternative to hunting dogs. However, as cats they are less inclined to follow commands and are far less predictable or reliable as a dog on a hunt. They are also far more expensive to keep healthy and happy than the average canine, and as a result ownership of one or a pair of these felines is more indicative of the owner's power and wealth as opposed to their dedication to the hunt.

Ok, so I do realize this guy is basically just a green cheetah, but obviously not every single fantasy animal needs to be some unique creature never before seen. And given that cheetah-like forms have already occured twice independently in the real world, in both true cheetahs (Acionyx) and the american cheetah (Miracinonyx), it doesnt seem outlandish that one may occur in a fantasy setting.
