Description
An updated, simpler iteration of the Nation of Panem, from Suzanne Collin's The Hunger Games.Reading the books, it sounds to me that the nations "districts" – even the largest of them, such as District 11 – are nothing more than city states: a residential center surrounded by an area of space which varies from district to district. Each is walled/fenced in, and practically everything in a district is within walking distance from one another.
I used descriptions both online and from the books to get this as accurate as possible.
The map itself is very large, if you wish to download.
EDIT #1: I've added basic elevation as well as a different colour scheme. The file itself is also larger if chosen to download.
EDIT #2: Added Sea Depth; changed the label colours; added compass; relocated D13 – the only current producer of Graphite in North America is Kearney Mine, in Ontario, Canada.
EDIT #3: Made a few aesthetic changes to the layout of the districts, added an appropriate legend and geographic labels

I never thought about it that way before, but it makes sense. Cool!

Oh, nifty to see a map. I'm not super familiar with the series, but I'm surprised to see the poor east coast and Florida all sunk.
You did a great job on this!

Hi, thank you for your kind words!
In the descriptions provided in the series, it seems the world has undergone some drastic changes: notably a rising sea. I used topographic maps of North America as my reference and modelled it on them with an 80-100 meter sea level rise.

Thank you. I used Adobe Illustrator CS5.1, and used this map as a reference.
