Got a lot of comments, requests, demands (?) asking me to do the tutorial ( especially for the hair part)
But because of my poor Eng, I had no confident to do. Then some of you suggested me that I don't have to explain much, just crop and paste to show my working processes is also okay.
So I tried, and here's how it turned out!!!
Usually, I have so many coloring styles. For this time, I chose to begin with the most basic one so I hope everyone can understand it easily. (and not too hard for me to describe
Hope this can help, and sorry if my Eng confused you.
Please feel free to give me the comment, suggestion or question, etc you want to ^^
Thanks so much for viewing!!! m (_ _) m

FAQ
Q : Is this all done on the same layer?
A : Yes. I just changed the layer properties from Multiply to Normal layer later.
Q : I would like to ask what kind of setting do you have your brushes on? or are there any special brushes that you use?
A : No any special brushes, I think it's the default brushes which came with Photoshop ^^
Q : Did you used smudge on the hair to make it looks smooth??
A : Sometimes, but for this pic, I didn't. I used two type of brushes to weigh the shading instead.
Q : Why do you do everything on the same layer?
A : Because the RAM of my comp is not very high, and it will be very slow, if I use too many layers
Anyway, for this pic, I had no need to use, just only one layer was enough. And it's also my style to color in this way.
Q : What does multiply do?
A : The Multiply layer will help you to see the direction of the hair from the pencil lineart when you shaded it at first.

Your english is not so bad at all, so be more confident
I will try your way of coloring when I got wacom tablet ) 'cos I like the result, but it would be more clear if you would write down more (what kind of brush, options etc) but still it's ok and understandable ^_^

I love it!! Thanks for doing I'd love to see one on how you do your lineart - your linework is beautiful, and looking up close it doesn't seem as if you use the pen tool.

mrsloth In reply to Aylanna [2008-08-29 04:40:54 +0000 UTC]
I didn't use it
The lineart process was drawn by pencil.

Nothing to be shy of! You do a really great job with it, then, cause your lines are all so sharp and nicely curved!

Thats a very helpful tutorial. How did you zoom into your drawings without having the drawing go all blurry?
That would helpful information if I did a tutorial myself.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
mrsloth In reply to Kamiru-chann [2008-08-29 04:42:21 +0000 UTC]
The original size I did was so much bigger than you saw. So I didn't zoom in, but I zoomed out
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Kamiru-chann In reply to mrsloth [2008-08-30 01:01:05 +0000 UTC]
Oh, I get it. Your technique is a bit different from mine, thats all.
Because when I do the lineart I then fix the size of the image.
I don't fix the size when I'm complete with the project.
I should probably fix the size of the drawing when I'm done with the piece.
It would definitely help a lot more.
