Description
This is a quick step by step process to get really neat lighting effects using the T_ASBShader Ver 1.21 and the PostPointLight v1.46 effect.Note: Post Point Light is actually a 'pmd' file that you can move around (via a bone) and has sliders that allows you to adjust the color, intensity and strength of the light source. As long as your pc can handle it, you should be able to load as many of these as you need (everyone's pc is different, so be sure to experiment).
Now, people are going to ask whether or not this effect combination is viable on 'non dark spooky' scenarios and the answer is YES. This works great on models regardless of the lighting setup (re: it's just as useful for a well lit room as it is for a spooky sci-fi hallway). Just match the lighting to the room/stage/prop you've set up and you'll be good to go.
Personally, I normally have the 'shadows' turned OFF in the Camera Control option, as this reduces the heavy shadow effect of TASB while at the same time allowing you to light the character as needed. However, if you need to have shadows displayed, then I HIGHLY suggest using ExcellentShadow2 as well (as it works in tandem with T_ASBShader almost perfectly).
If you're looking for examples on how to light a scene or how light can affect something, by all means click HERE for a great 'Examination of the use of light in Movies'. It's a great starter if you need examples for lighting a scene, and trying to recreate these examples is fantastic practice.
