Here you can see the concept artwork for the Plague-Mutants. These creatures are created through a combination of radiation, viruses and gases. The lesser Plague-Mutants like giant virus and bacteria cells are controlled by the central hive, which is situated somewhere in the ruins of Berlin.
The first human-like Plague-Mutant was created 2.135 and isn’t controlled directly by the hive. These greater creatures can use old russian weapons and have an awareness of the self.
