There's a new word for ya
Don't be misled by the category. This is not an actual theme, but a concept of the theme I will try to make.
If you've read my journal entries you may have noticed that this version looks a bit different to my previous ones. This version is a concept of an actual theme I plan on making and not a concept of an operating system. The main differences are that this concept is based in the realms of what is actually possible for me to theme and so it looks a bit more similar to the Windows 7 you know today. I plan on making this theme with Windows Style Builder. If that fails I will try my hand at WindowBlinds - in which case I may be able to make the toolbar glassed

This is great, I'd use this! It isn't too different from W7, which is a good thing, and after seeing some visual styles for W7, I think this is totally doable.

Wow I love it. It would be good if you have the Icons for the superbar and the task list or favorites at the left side of the explorer. I can't wait to download this theme!

Looks promising! Whatever you do, don't use WindowsBlinds, or well - if you do, make it a .theme file if it's possible. I won't pay for WindowBlinds, in fact - I don't think many people will. I want that theme already on my desktop by the way. So keep up the glowing work!

The visual style is under way. There are a ton of things to skin and I've never done this before so I'm not show how complete it actually is. I've completed the window frames (including window controls etc) and have done about half the Explorer tuff that's reasonably obvious and I've done maybe 1/3rd of the Superbar.
Due to time constraints I probably won't ever get to a WindowBlinds version.

It's a good learning path though, which is nice! I can't really help you though, I suck at it. Nice seeing it getting on its way though, seems like you've done a lot.
And thumbs up for that! WindowsBlinds is just for people blinded by their own "windows".

If you make the style with WindowBlinds, can it be converted to a .theme file? Because most people here probably don't want to have to pay for something that makes their desktop prettier.

I'm not sure. I've chosen to make the style with Vista Style Builder, so it will work without any other programs. That's why the back / forward buttons are now rounded.

but i don't know if its possible to make those integrated refresh and stop buttons because it uses the background for the address ans search bar for it :/
so its either on both bars a integrated thing or on none
i've also tried it but i didnt work out for me...
maybe you will figure it out somehow

Yeah, I figured that. So far in the visual style the refresh button appears like the search icon, which is probably the best I can do.

I can only include what is possible within the visual style. I could make them square but they were half the size of the ones in the concept and didn't suit thanks to their small, "cute" size.

I really prefer the version with the square buttons. There's nothing else round in this theme exept these buttons. I never understood why you changed your version with the squares.

I changed because the square ones were not possible to accomplish within a visual style. I could make them square but they would be half the size of the ones in the concept and just didn't look very good. I will include other round elements like the start button etc.

I do think that some form of alt buttons would be nice, but I understand that people like the standard ones.
I most definitely can't wait for the vs.
(on a small side note while I'm typing, do you plan on doing more FF themes? Or updating once 4.0 is finished? Just curious, though, I am starting to miss Stratum.)

I do plan on making more FF4 themes. I'll probably end up making one based on Vitric. I'd prefer to do this once FF4 is in the RC stage, because there are a lot of theme changes they are yet to put in. I don't know what is taking them so long. They haven't done any major theme changes in ages.
