I created this cave scene thinking alot about the perspective and lighting. please feel free to critique...I used photoshop Elements 5.0.... I changed the foreground grass......

Yes, their is alot to learn...he he but that's why art is so fun...however, just to help you out. Remember! when designing a scene use contrast which is not only dark and light..design scenes that creates opposites such as scary scene yet beauty at the same time....their is many contrast in art work you just have to figure them out.... shape of objects can contrast as well such as round and cubed..verticle horizonal..etc.....shapes create mood1!!!!!!! good luck!

I always try to achieve some sort of contrast, but that's a way of looking at it that I hadn't thought of before. I appreciate that. What do you mean though "shapes create mood" ? Can you give me an example?

verticle line (shapes) portray pride!, authority!, example - large building...slanted line portray "motion"... horizonal objects portray a peaceful mood.... draw these angles of any objects then you see what I mean.
