Description
This comic appears in Secret Prison 2.My sister says this says too much about my life and is quite upsetting. However, I kind of meant it to be a broader take on how bizarre and hopeless the shit we do is.

Only boring people lead boring lives. And if a person is boring, it's his own fault.

I pity you. You sound like you can't even imagine someone leading an interesting life.

As if I care how I sound to some guy I don't even know.
Can't be offended with a wild guess of someone who's probably just jealous.

The name of the Author disrupts the flow between panels. I suggest moving it up higher or putting it to the side, like a first panel.

This is really good. I really like it. I really do get the very bleak feeling we tend to put ourselves in life. I really like the design of the character and the simplified symbols. Very smart.

Probably the most deserving DD I've seen in months.. absolutely love it Simple, witty, cute, but still manages to make the viewer stop and have a good hard thinking session about their own lives. Just, wow.

Love the spare style, it's very effective and makes a wonderful statement. Reminds me a little of Chris Ware. Which is to say, I like this a bunch!

Yeah it's depressing but pretty accurate. We all do some variation of it every single day of our life.

Thank you for sharing this! I think it's pretty amazing that this piece, which was created as a simple reflection, can be so poignant and, hopefully, inspirational! I'm glad this got a DD- I think a lot of people really need to see this, even if it's a little uncomfortable.

This is the image I get in my head whenever I think of how I WON'T let my life turn. Graphical style is nice, I gotta say. It does reflect some of the hopelesness.

Reading this hurt. . .
This is how I've felt the past... very long time. This just really helped me put it all into perspective though...

This is such a funny comic! LOL
I wish I had time to do everything that the little character did, but I'm too busy working, taking care of my family, etc.
Thanks for the laugh!

I must say this comic is really inspiring, and so is Olivieree's comment. Everyday without trying to change it. That phrase really stuck out and made me realize that we SHOULD try to change our slothful ways, to be a contribution, to live for the sake of living and not because we have to.

Awesome Comic. You should make an alternate version where at the end he reads this very comic, thinks it's awesome but disregards its message a second later to go to sleep to start into another meaningless day. Because that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Wow. Existentialistic...definitely absurd, all the strange things we do...perhaps a bit nihilistic too. But every time we close our eyes, and every time we open them, we can but try to exist.

I don't think human beings are that disconnected, even the ones who feel that alone. This to me describes a state of mind far more accurately than a state of reality.

If it's all about you, then it truly is hopeless, because you -- each of us -- is a bag of shit that is slowly going bad.
It only makes any sense at all if it's at least in some way about helping other people in whatever way they will accept help, that is genuinely helpful to them in some way large or small.
There are innumerable obstacles to this. If we attach to the outcomes of our attempts to be helpful and available, which will enjoy greater or lesser success, if there is some reward in mind, eventually we will give up because we will periodically disappoint ourselves.
Only if we say, "No matter what happens, I will not stop trying, I will not forget that hopelessness and fear and anger and self-pity and greed and ignorance are what separate us and make us forgetful we are brothers and sisters. I will not let what I do or don't receive or what is done to me define my capacity to love others." Then, we can put our eggs in a basket that is not at the mercies of chance.

Oooops. I was looking at Secret Prison and not your actual page. How did you get involved with something in Philly when you are in the UK?
