Yeah! He's got a really interesting style... like anime mixed with graffiti. Maybe with a dash of Tim Burton in there.

I didn't know that there was a play of it. Haha. I enjoy the movie though. . .

Yeah! I'm sure there have been hundreds of Holmes plays, but this is the first one I've seen. This one was based on one of Doyle's last Holmes books. It was really cool! Got to hang out a little with the cast and director after the play, too!
Totally! That movie was sweet. I think they're doing a sequel.

I'm curious about what a play would look like. I've heard that BBC has a Sherlock series that's just started recently. I also know somebody who's obsessed with Doyle's Holmes series. So much so that she refuses to watch the new movie. haha.
Yeah! I heard that they were going to do a sequal too! Robert Downey Jr. is amazing. .
Plus, I feel like they kept it really open for a sequel.

Yeah! I heard about that Holmes series on BBC! I need to check that out. I think the guy that plays Watson was Arthur in the Hitchhiker's Guide movie, and he played Tim in the British version of The Office. He's a hoot!
That's definitely a good movie for a sequel! There's so much literature to draw from, so they could go on for 40 sequels!

I've never seen either one of those. I don't even like the American version of The Office so I don't think seeing the British version will be any better.
That's true. Unless it's not really based on any of the novels.

Yeah, I didn't like the American version, either, so I wasn't expecting much from the English one, but it was really funny! It felt much more realistic and less like the cheesy sitcom that the American one is. It's extremely awkward, though, so it's a bit hard to watch at times.
That's true--they might pull a Hollywood boner and make up some dumb original story. But with such a wealth of already-made Holmes stories, I would hope they'd just dip into that. It'd be cheaper!

Is it? Sometimes I really don't get into British humor. I like Monty Python enough. haha.
Buuut, knowing who the director is, it seems obvious that it'll be great.

Yeah, British humor can be hit or miss, but most of it I've liked! Monty Python is classic, of course. Have you ever heard of a show called "Dark Place"? It's a British horror parody of Stephen King-type stuff, made to look like it was created in the 80s, with cheesy special effects and acting. It's great! It was on Adult Swim for a while. There are only six episodes, which kinda sucks.
Well, that is certainly true!

I'm curious, I may check that out. haha. Especially since there are only six episodes. It'd be easy to get through.

Oh, yeah--it's classic! I know the whole "bad acting on purpose" bit has been done, but they've made it into an art form!
I just heard that Martin Freeman, one of the main characters from the British "Office", is rumored to be playing Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit movie! That makes me happy--I really like his acting!

They haven't made The Hobbit into a movie yet? I thought they had lol. Or at least the rumors of it being done have been around for 5 years or so.

It's been stuck in studio limbo for a couple years, but they now just finally got it started! They're planning its release by Christmas 2012, I think. They're doing it in two movies, so we'll have to wait another two years after that for the second half...

Of course. They did it with Lord of The Rings, and they're gonna do it with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Blah!

I heard about that! Any way they can drag it out and make more money, I suppose. But it's better in the longrun--I hate it when they squeeze too much into movies. I want them to take their time with it.

That's true. But heck, the new Star Treck movie was 5 hours long! I had no idea, but it made sense when we started watching it at like, 2 in the afternoon, and then it was getting dark when we ended it.

Was the new Star Trek movie really long? I watched it all out of seqence because I worked at a movie theater at the time. It seemed cool, though!

No, I exaggerated a bit lol. It's like 2 hours or something. I liked it, I might see it again soon. I just watched Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World with my sister and I still love it.

Totally! I did some "official" artwork for the play, which was pretty much normal Victorian style, then they wanted work "inspired" by the play, that could be as Steampunky as we wanted, so I went CRAZIES!
