Thank you! I really like this one, too--possibly my favorite Monster In My Pocket so far; he was my favorite one from the toyline, too, so I'm sure that has something to do with it!

Thank you! Glad you like him!
It's a toyline from the early 90s--it was a battle game you play with little monsters (from different cultures/time periods), each worth a different amount of points. Here's a fansite for it: [link]

You're welcome.
Oh, okay. I'll check it out. From the fan art and characters that you've been drawing, it looks neat. Thanks for the link. ^^

No problem! Just don't expect a stellar toy series--they were pretty cheesy, but that's what made them so fun! And any toy line that teaches kids about monsters from different cultures is pretty swell!

I looked at them. They don't look that bad. Actually, I think they look pretty neat! I'll agree with you about that. That is pretty cool that they teach kids about monsters from different cultures. ^^

Yeah, they were fun! I learned a lot about monsters from buying those as a kid! That's where I first fell in love with the tengu... *fond sigh*

I'm sure if I was older around the time these were made, I would have enjoyed them. ^^ Tengu looks pretty awesome in your drawing.

Totally! I guess they kept the toy going after I got bored with it--I think they made 3 series all together.
Thanks! Tengu are traditionally portrayed as humans with long, bulbous noses--a human representation of a bird beak. And they usually have red skin, wings and wild eyes. Japanese characters are so crazy-looking!

Damn, he's so awesome! If I randomly had to become a monster for reasons unknown, I'd want to be this one. 0__0
