I've wanted to paint this one for many, many years! Is it possible to name who is who?

Great picture, I think I've never seen this scene illustrated.

So many people in this one..! That must've taken time. It reminds me of Flemish Renaissance paintings for some reason.

As crowded as Brueghel's "Children's Games" or "Flemish Proverbs"? And as detailed, maybe... I shold have scanned this picture, but I stll have no means to do it!

Exactly.. those are the kind of paintings I immediately associated this one with! Detailed, with lots of diminutive characters.

this one is really good! All those details and the colours create a beautiful atmosphere.

It is a great feast held in Beleriand before its ruin , so I tried to all this Elvish folk merry and full of hope, trying to find new friends and making great plans... The only thing I was afraid of, that it would look a bit too colorful and childish.

I like this. Lots of color and detail. Is it watercolor?
And I'm curious, where are the poor, misunderstood Feanorians?

And yes, this is watercolour (though it is lookig more like gouache or soft-tips, wit such brilliant colors).

You're right, it's really "coloring" that I'm doing, not painting (first I draw the scene in pencil, with many amendments and erasings, then I color it with watercolors)

I'm pleased and much thankful. Sorry for the poor quality of the picture, the details are rather hard to see .
I tried to pack as many people as I could into this scene. Feanor's sons are sitting in the left lower corner (I meant to show Maedhros making some speech or toast..., and I really did not know about his red hair at the time).
