I've gotten a few people asking me for pointers on how to draw ponies, and another few asking for me to just post a dang tutorial. So here it is.I've never made a tutorial before, so I hope it doesn't completely suck. XD At the very least, I hope it's helpful.
Let me also note that I've never been to any sort of art school, (I taught myself how to draw 100%) and I have not seen or used any tutorials on how to draw ponies. (Also, this was done on the computer with a mouse, and I usually draw traditionally with a pencil and pens, so the joints are slightly wrong and the body is a little too big. orz) The way I draw ponies is simply how I taught myself, and how it works for me, so if you disagree/think there's an easier way, please keep it to yourself, I'm not looking for crits. :3
Just trying to help out some fellow bronies who are having troubles getting started drawing. Let me know if it helped!
Also, this tutorial is about how to draw the ponies ONLY. If some of you want tips on other things like coloring, I may make another tutorial if I have time.

This is pretty helpful. I've already tried some MLP pictures and I made a character but my work kinda sucks. I wish I saw this before I made so many pics of Creamsicle lol.

I don't normally respond to comments like these, but how exactly is drawing a simple tutorial ruining creativity? Does art school also ruin creativity? Is no one allowed to help others develop their skills? If that were the case, no one would ever improve.

Musapan, dont listen to people like Smedis9. They're just mad because either they dont want to give it a try or they didnt think of it first.
Keep doing your thing and plenty of people will be there to back you up against the H8rs.

If you don't like something, the mature thing to do is to ignore it. The brony fanbase is pretty fantastic, but just like every fanbase, there are going to be weirdos that over-do it. Naruto, Harry Potter, Star Wars, so on and so forth. Just ignore it and move on.

Well, that's too bad that you feel that way. Apparently trying to be civil with you is pointless, because you're just going to react like every other immature douche-bag on the internet.
And yeah, it is possible to ignore even My Little Pony. I've been ignoring Naruto and Twilight for years. I did a perfectly good job ignoring MLP before my friend finally convinced me to give it a try, and if it hadn't been for my friend, I would STILL be ignoring it successfully. And I was on 4chan when it all started, so I was literally seeing it EVERYWHERE. But it didn't appeal to me, and I'm not one to flame someone for liking something just because I don't care for it, so I took the high road and ignored it all. You should try it some time, it's fun being an adult. :3
