After installing SP1 for Windows 7 x64, it has reverted my logon to the old one. Is it 'safe' to use this over the new SP1 version of authui.dll, or do you have an update coming?

for all of those that loose the UAC prompt, it is because the authui.dll is part of the gui inside windows, to go back to the old logon or in the other case to use this awesome logon, you can change the files via an ubuntu live cd there's no need to restore the system
so if you changed the authui.dll and there's no logon screen, no need to panic use a live cd
also mvgraphics awesome work dude!
but which bitmap image is the one that causes the glossy stuff on the x86 version?

Ok, now when i try to move the x86 authui.dll over to the system32 folder its says
"You need permission to preform this" but ive had already said OK to the Admin Privilegeds and when i tried this i wasnt on the main user so then i tried it on the Owner user and the same thing happened, what other permission do i need to accept

Install InstallTakeOwnership.reg ( double click, click on RUN, then click YES, and OK)
3. Then Browse to Your Local Drive (Normally is C
4. Open Windows
5. Click or Open System32
6. Look for authui.dll.
7. Right Click, and choose Take Ownership.
8. Then Rename the file, like authui.dll TO authui.dll-OLD
9. Copy authui.dll from the zip file to your system32 folder

Ive done all that and i already had the TakeOwnership installed on my computer so i didnt install your version, and when i get to # "8." thats where the problems start cause after renaming the authui.dll to authui.dll-OLD thats when Admin Privileges disappear and you cant not complete # "9."

hey bubba this happened to me to D:
but don't panic you don't need to restore the system again and again
just use a ubuntu live cd and change the files
then you can go back to windows and everything will be alright

nakem sure there is only one authui.dll (no backups) - try renaiming the file to another name like authui.BACK
