Gernerally it is supposed to mean any sort of tumblr leftist as it did in the beginning, but with the time I realized you can get called a "SJW" for any reason.- Do you support people having some human decency? You are a SJW.
- Are you LBGTQA+? And/or mentally ill? You are a SJW (no kidding I got labeled one solely for this reason).
- Are you against right-wing ideologies in any way, form or shape? You are a SJW.
- Are you pro-choice? You are a SJW.
- Do you find egalitarianism flawed and pointless despite not being yourself a right-winger? You are a SJW.
- Do you support animal welfare? You are a SJW.
- Do you support feminism? You are a SJW.
- Are you egalitarian but not right-wing? Don't care, you are a SJW anyway.
Bonus if people tell you "go back to tumblr" and such.
This word has probably as much meaning as "commie" and "liberal" nowadays.

You're misunderstanding. I'm not talking about the people "fighting" for real issues. I'm talking about the people who fight unnecessarily (like I said earlier). The people commonly known as "SJWs" like to invent problems so they can have something new to complain about. They're not interested in solving the world's issues, they're interested in complaining. That's it. The thing is, it draws attention away from real problems by diverting it to issues that aren't real.
Even worse, people such as yourself think attacking other groups is the answer to everything. It really isn't. Arguing back and forth about who's "more oppressed" or being like "fuck the whites" only makes the problem worse. It's up to all of us to find real solutions to real problems instead of just trying to get revenge all the time. You know what they say: "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind". Cooperation is key if we're ever going to achieve true equality in the world. Each group needs to respect one another, not hate.

Ah the good ol' "real problem" argument. Addressing certain problems you might not consider to be real does not mean you cannot focus on bigger ones. And inventing problems like what? Because many of of them existed years, decades or even centuries ago and people believe it is a new thing invented by Tumblr.

Again, assuming these problems are real to begin with. For example, consider the public outrage when a black individual is killed by an officer, yet when the same thing happens to a white individual, it's more or less ignored. This is because in today's increasingly racially-conscientious society, we tend to be biased towards situations we consider to be breaches of racial equality. But is race really the issue here? Sure, it plays a role in the event that cop in question is actually racist-- but what we end up missing is the bigger picture where law enforcement is using unnecessarily force to begin with. This is the issue we need to focus on. But instead, because of our bias toward racial issues, riots ensue instead.
Now, of course, that's just an example of the problem at work-- You can come up with a different example if you'd like. I just thought that that would help illustrate the concept more clearly for you. Please note that it is an invitation to debate about law enforcement, though I'm sure we share similar views on that.

The thing is, support for most social issues is at an all-time high. It's a one-sided fight where people are arguing against a foe that doesn't actually exist. Consider the problems faced by transgender individuals. These days, while discrimination still exists, we have plenty of supporters who want to see us gain equal rights. But by fighting against these various supporters simply because they're not trans too is counterproductive. Gaining supporters is key. Once you form a strong alliance with like-minded individuals, you can work together to change the system. We can't do this alone-- like it or not, cisgendered individuals are the majority population. If we're to succeed, we need to work alongside them. Non-supporters will follow suit. We do not need to make more non-supporters.
You should stand up for yourself. No doubt about that. Stand up for what you believe in. But we need to do that cooperatively, not by making more enemies.

Does that make the quote any less valid? Bad people can say meaningful things, in the same way the bible has some good lessons even if you're an atheist (like me).
He wasn't a Hitler supporter, by the way. If you're referring to the letter he wrote to Hitler in 1939, he was urging him to avoid starting a war. He did not support Hitler's actions whatsoever. Do not confuse politeness with political support. Plus, at the time, no one knew that Hitler was killing minorities.

The thing is, black people get killed and criminalized by the police for their color skin; white people do not get killed and criminalized by the police for their color skin. And sometimes justice is not served for those who kill black people (does Darren Wilson sounds familiar to you?). This is why it does turn in a political issue that gains a lot of attention from the SJ community. I can give a hevulla reasons it is a race issue but I am not sure if I would want to waste my time trying to convince who has their skull so stuck in their ass.
Gaining supporters is key; but not crappy supporters, who are many. And the reason transphobia exists is not trans people who supposedly create more hate. It is TRANSPHOBES (mostly cis people) who will find ANY reason to discriminate trans people, no matter if they are hateful or not.
This mentality does not work in every context. Yes he wrote him to stop Hitler from starting a war, but if you are a friend with a genocide then I do not know how you are a good person really even if you supposedly do not condone someone's actions.

I got called a 'sjw' for saying white people can literally turn off the computer if they want to avoid being called names by tumblr users. When I corrected this person, explaining my comment in more depth, they threw a bitchfit claiming I was being unreasonable and a 'typical sjw'
